  • Adding storage under the bed is great spot for out of season clothes. Add wheels to the bottom of the drawers to create an easy access storage area.
  • Another great spot for extra storage is at the foot of the bed. Add a few cubbies, or a storage ottoman and you have a creative way to store your belongings out of sight.
  • Pick a plan to follow when hanging your clothes. Color coded, style or by occasion but choose a system and stick to it.
  • Don’t let your nightstand fill up with clutter. Only keep items used before bed on your nightstand.

  • Don’t let papers get lost in the hustle and bustle of work. Create a system for papers that need responses, more research or trash.
  • Organize your files with color coded labels. Do what makes sense for how you work.
  • Items on your desk should be what you use most through out the day. Items not used regularly should be neatly put away.
  • Use drawer organizers to keep similar objects together, this way they don’t get buried in the drawer.

  • Organize your tools by frequency of use. The ones you need often should be visible and accessible, while others should be put elsewhere.
  • Adding a magnetic strip near your tool area will help keep miscellaneous screws and nuts out of your work area. This is also a great place for screw drivers and other metal tools.
  • Recycle your old PVC pipes by making them into holders for rakes and shovels.
  • Instead of individual shelves consider adding track system shelving. This way you can customize your shelves to what your family needs

  • The small space between your fridge can be utilized with roll out storage, great storage for pantry food.
  • If you are low on counter space consider buying a cutting board that fits over your sink. This will make prepping meals much easier.
  • Add a hook to the blank side of cabinets and create an easy hanging area for utensils and pot holders.
  • Over-the-cabinet baskets keep things under your sink organized. Consider buying a mesh basket so sponges and rags can dry properly.
