But in order to meet the need demand, The Salvation Army needs help raising money to fund its Rescue Christmas programs. A Little Holiday Gift Can Go a Long Way

The Salvation Army supports the most vulnerable members of our community through their toughest times. When pandemic struggles meet holiday season struggles, The Salvation Army is there to help get people back on their feet for the new year. Normally, its programs are funded in part by the Red Kettle Campaign, which is entering its 130th year this year.

Volunteers would sit outside of major stores and ring bells to collect donations from holiday shoppers. But since fewer red kettles will be out this year due to COVID-19 precautions, less donation money is also expected. That is why The Salvation Army needs our help this year especially to assure its programs are sustained. The programs span from assisting in paying bills, supplying food and meals, and supporting homeless shelter resources. The Angel Tree program also gifts presents for kids to open on Christmas morning during a year their parents have to choose presents and paying bills.
